Had I rated this place in 2015 I would have given four maybe even five stars. I was referred to Precision by my co-worker and her family who have been coming here for years. Last year I always came for oil changes and it was always simple with no problems. This year, I not only came for oil changes but I also had them replace my brakes. Now, this whole year I had been "helped" by Ken . When I came in to have my brakes replaced which anyone knows taking them in is a couple to a few hundred dollars; well, I brought an air filter with me and asked if they could do that while they were changing my brakes and giving me an oil change. Ken told me that would be an extra $60 in labor. This was a little unsettling to me due to the fact I was about to drop a few hundred dollars. As I was in the courtesy shuttle the driver (forgive me cannot remember his name but was a sweetheart); had heard me on the phone and my situation. When I got off the phone even the driver was puzzled and asked my name and what model car I drove because he was going to talk to someone. This isn't even the main reason I'm writing this review, I just want to share my story because I am so disappointed and definitely experienced three strikes. Fast forward to a month or so after my brakes had been changed, I went in to get a smog check. Ken assisted me again and informed me that my car didn't pass smog and that I would need a catalytic converter and it would cost me over a grand for the material plus labor. I began doing research and found that at times a catalytic converter wouldn't guarantee the car passing smog. They reset everything and recommended I drive X amount of miles and bring it back to see if it would pass smog. My car still did not pass smog and then Ken wanted to charge me their smog check price (over $60) when he initially told me after the reset if it didn't pass smog I wouldn't be charged. So, after back and forth with Ken he went to the owner's office and came out and said he wouldn't charge me. That day I left and took it to the dealership and what a surprise! Honda was able to get my car to pass smog no problem. Now, September 26, 2016 I am due for an oil change so I took it to the place I always used to take it before being introduced to Precision and they recommended that I take my car back to Precision because my socket that keeps the drain pan closed had been changed. They stated this isn't too out of the ordinary because overtime these will wear, but they showed me under the car that the socket is the wrong size and someone torqued it way too hard and it will not come off. Now, I have to reach out to Precision and have them take care of it, which I am dreading because this year has not been my year with them. My current oil change place informed me that this could cause a whole pan to be replaced and the inside where the socket is stripped. Long story long, I am so disappointed and have had so many stressful unproductive car maintenance days here I am dreading reaching out and especially deal with Ken. Ken was not sympathetic and each time I would go in would just say something to the effect of "Yeah, that's all we can do."
