This experience was not as good as my previous times at Precision. This time, I asked Precision to check my gas gauge. It hadn't been working properly for many months. I was told that cost to do the check would be $66 which would apply to the repair. In my mind I was thinking the repair might run to a couple hundred $$. I was totally surprised when informed later that day that the cost to repair would be $581. Would have liked to have had some idea of the cost of repair before committing my $66 to do the "check". This repair was not essential to using the vehicle. After going ahead with the repair and retrieving my car the next day, I had another surprise. I was locked out of using my stereo and noticed that interior of the car smelled like gasoline. Would have liked to have had these automatically taken care of by Precision before I left the shop, not left to me to find.
